PHILOSOPHY

We believe the aim of education is to provide for every student, regardless of ability or environment, and to provide the opportunity to develop to the maximum of their potential in academic achievement, moral values, physical fitness, emotional stability, social adjustment, civic responsibility and spiritual awareness.

We believe in a mutual respect of a teacher and student for the right of each other with both recognizing that authority is essential for stability. We believe students should become protective citizens of a democratic society, and emphasis should be placed upon the value of accepting responsibility, the development of self-discipline, a high degree of initiative, and the ability to think critically.

We believe a school is successful when it graduates young men and women who can take their place in life compatible with the social and economic demands of a changing society, who can occupy places of leadership, and who can perpetuate through the rearing of their families the tenet of our American faith. We believe that the United States will survive and progress to the degree that its youth is imbued with the principles of effective living in a democratic society. We maintain that one of the school’s most important obligations in the community, the state, and the nation is to instill American ideals and legal patriotism in the minds of every student enrolled.
